SMILE was fortunate to receive a charitable grant in 2022 to support our Children’s Bunk Bed Program from the J.A. Grifols Foundation. Established in 2008, the J.A. Grifols Foundation honors Jose Antonio Grifols Lucas, physician and pharmacist, with the mission of contributing to the health and well-being of plasma donors and their communities. The J.A. Grifols Foundation supports thriving and vibrant communities where plasma donors are valued and appreciated for their gift of plasma. By creating community partnerships, the J.A. Grifols Foundation makes an immediate and enduring impact in the communities they call home.

Speedway Children's Charities of Bristol adopted a new focus and priority of giving for their 2022 grant applications. Beginning this grant application season and beyond, there was a specific priority to fund organizations helping the homeless and orphan/foster population and victims of sex trafficking. SMILE Foster Closet was honored to be one of the 2022 grant recipients.
